I forget how lucky I am.

ALthough sometimes I hate medicine and hate what I am doing, well not hate, but more am afraid of. I try to remember I am so lucky to have gotten everything I’ve wanted academically, well almost everything

I wanted to get into an OC class. I did.
I wanted to get into a selective school. I did, and my first preference at that.
I wanted to get into medicine. I did, and again at my first choice - and my UAI wasn’t even THAT good.

When I see people struggling to get into their course, or struggling to meet requirements or not getting into the one thing they have had their heart set on for the longest time I feel like such a bitch for not appreciating what I have.

If I can’t have the body I want, at least I have the brain.
